27+ Projects That Will Make You Want To Learn To Crochet
For some reason I rarely crochet in the summer. I don’t know if it has something to do with the warmthof the yarn combined with heat of the weather, but I can’t remember one time this summer when I have picked up my crochet hooks. The pull to my crochet basket always arises towards the end of the summer, when the leaves start to change, the daylight hours start to get shorter and the weather starts to get cooler.

Today is an overcast day in Vancouver. I can see the leaves near the top of the maple tree outside my office window are starting to turn yellow, and thoughts of fall are starting to creep into my mind. I know I’m not the only one feeling that way. I see a super old “Weekend Inspiration” post from 3 1/2 years ago, with a few crochet projects I love sitting in the top 10 posts for the week. You can see that post here.
I think a lot of people feel the “call to the crochet hook” in the fall, whether they are a veteran crocheter or just wanting to learn how to crochet.
Want to learn to crochet?
People ask me all the time where I learned to crochet. I actually learned how to crochet in just 3 days by using a class on Bluprint! I loved learning to crochet online because I could pause, rewind, fast forward and refer back to it whenever I needed a refresher!
Bluprint has some wonderful classes that you can either purchase to have lifetime access, or you can purchase a monthly or yearly subscription to have access to ALL of their craft classes!!! Find their beginner crochet classes here.
I’m also crazy about Creative Bug. I subscribe to their monthly subscription and have taken a ton of classes through them including how to make crocheted stones and a line drawing class with Lisa Congdon (which I wrote about here). Their How To Crochet classes are taught by Carla Scott, the Executive Editor of Vogue Knitting International and they look great!
Whether you’ve been crocheting for yearsor a newbie, this is the post for you.I’ve been adding projects I want to tackle to our Creative Crochet and Knitting Board on Pinterest and thought I’d share with you 27 projects that are going to make you want to learn to crochet (for you newbies) or pick up the crochet hook (for those veterans among us)! Read on for some serious crochet inspiration!
