Our 3 Step Process of Embroidery

We have developed a streamlined 3-step process for embroidery that ensures a seamless experience for our customers.

Step 1: Consultation and Design

The first step of our embroidery process is to consult with you about your design needs. Our embroidery experts will work with you to understand your design ideas, including the size, placement, and color preferences. Once we have a clear understanding of your needs, our team will create a digital mockup of your design, which will be sent to you for approval.

Step 2: Embroidery Production

Once your design is finalized and approved, our team will begin the embroidery production process. We use state-of-the-art embroidery machines and the highest-quality threads to create your design. Our skilled embroidery professionals carefully monitor the production process to ensure that every detail of your design is captured accurately and with precision.

Step 3: Quality Control and Delivery

Once your embroidered item is completed, our quality control team will inspect it thoroughly to ensure that it meets our high standards for quality and accuracy. We will then package and deliver your item to you, ensuring that it arrives on time and in perfect condition.

Embroidery Pricing

Here is an outline of our generic pricing. Please note, the embroidery cost may be more or less depending on the item. A member of our team can give you a better estimate once we see the item.

Simple Embroidery

Starting at $9.50 Per Item

Any item that is fairly simple to embroider would start at $9.50 per item. These might include items like t-shirts, polos, jackets, and towels, to name a few. Generally, a simple embroidery project would be a left chest or right chest imprint around 4” in diameter.

Complex Embroidery

Starting at $15 Per Item

Any item that requires a larger area of stitching or is made of a complex material would start at $15 per item to embroider. These could include items such as backpacks or golf bags, for example. The maximum size for any embroidery project is 13″ x 13″.

Digitizing Fee

Starting at $45 Per Logo

If you have a logo or any sort of image that is not text which you would like to embroider, there is a one-time fee to digitize this logo. Digitizing is the process to turn your image into a format that the embroidery machine can understand. Once your image is digitized, we will keep it on file and there will be no digitizing fee for any further projects you may need using that image. If you are only getting words embroidered, like your name for example, there is no digitizing fee.

Custom Embroidery Services Common Questions

Embroidery is a decorative art that involves stitching designs onto fabric using a needle and thread. It has been practiced for centuries and can be found in many cultures around the world. Embroidery can be done by hand or by machine and can be used to decorate clothing, home decor, and other items.

Removing embroidery can be a tricky process, but it can be done with patience and the right tools. One method is to use a seam ripper or small scissors to carefully cut the threads of the embroidery from the backside of the fabric. Another option is to use an embroidery removal tool, which is designed to cut the threads of the embroidery without damaging the fabric. It is important to work slowly and carefully to avoid damaging the fabric or leaving behind any residue from the embroidery.

The size of the embroidery hoop you need depends on the size of your embroidery project. Hoops come in a range of sizes, from small hoops that are perfect for delicate work to large hoops that are ideal for larger projects. As a general rule, choose a hoop that is slightly larger than your design so that you have enough space to work comfortably. If you are working on a small, intricate design, a small hoop may be more appropriate, while a larger hoop may be necessary for larger designs.

There are several methods for transferring an embroidery pattern onto the fabric. One common method is to use a transfer pen or pencil to trace the design onto the fabric. Another option is to print the design onto transfer paper and then iron it onto the fabric. You can also use a lightbox or a window to trace the design onto the fabric. Once the design is transferred, you can start embroidering.

The cost of custom embroidery depends on several factors, such as the complexity of the design, the number of stitches, the type of item being embroidered, and the quantity of items. To provide you with an accurate cost estimate, we recommend reaching out to our team at American Stitch. We’ll be happy to discuss your specific requirements and provide you with a personalized quote.

Creating custom embroidery designs requires specialized software and skills. If you have a design in mind, you can work with a professional graphic designer or an embroidery digitizer who can translate your design into a digital embroidery file format. Alternatively, you can explore design software programs specifically tailored for embroidery design creation. These programs allow you to create and modify designs, select embroidery stitches, and customize colors.

To create custom embroidery designs, you can follow these steps:

1. Sketch or digitize your design: Start by sketching your design on paper or using graphic design software. If using software, create a vector-based design that can be easily resized and edited.
2. Convert design to embroidery format: Use embroidery digitizing software to convert your design into a format compatible with embroidery machines. This process involves assigning stitch types, colors, and densities to different parts of the design.
3. Test the design: Before proceeding with the final embroidery, it’s advisable to test the design on a sample fabric to ensure it meets your expectations.
4. Transfer design to embroidery machine: Once satisfied with the design, transfer it to an embroidery machine using a USB drive or a direct connection.
5. Set up the fabric and thread: Prepare the fabric and choose the appropriate thread colors for your design. Secure the fabric tightly in the embroidery hoop to ensure accurate stitching.
6. Start the embroidery: Load the design onto the embroidery machine and begin the embroidery process. Monitor the progress and make any necessary adjustments.

The cost of custom embroidery varies depending on factors such as the complexity of the design, the size of the embroidery, the type of item being embroidered, and the quantity of items. To get an accurate price estimate, it’s best to contact our team at American Stitch and provide details about your specific embroidery project. We’ll be able to provide you with a customized quote based on your requirements.
